Abstract

This research explores the strategic, technological, and socio-economic vision behind establishing a Bharatiya Lunar Base by 2047. Building on India's successful Chandrayaan missions and ISRO’s evolving capabilities, the paper outlines a phased approach to lunar infrastructure, emphasizing in-situ resource utilization (ISRU), indigenous innovation, and geopolitical positioning. Through policy analysis, budget trajectory review, and futuristic scenario planning, the work argues for India's rightful place in the global lunar domain, offering a neutral and collaborative model of lunar governance for the Global South.
