Abstract

By detecting the expression of E-Cadherin, β-Catenin, PTEN, PI3K110α,p-AktSer473 and Ki-67 in ovarian serous tumor (OST), the role of E-Cadherin/β-Catenin and PTEN-PI3K/Akt in ovarian carcinogenesis was revealed. To explore the mechanism of the occurrence and development of OST.The expression of E-Cadherin, β-Catenin, PTEN, PI3K110α,p-AktSer473 and Ki-67 in paraffin-embedded tissues of 10 cases of normal ovarian epithelial (NOT), 12 cases of ovarian serous cystadenoma (OSA), 18 cases of serous borderline cystadenoma (OSBT), and 60 cases of ovarian serous carcinoma (OSC) were detected by immunohistochemical(IHC) method. The results indicated the negative rate of E-Cadherin,PTEN in OSC was significantly higher than that in OSBT、OSA and NOT(P<0.05); The correlation E-Cadherin,PTEN between OSC invasion and lymph node metastasis was statistically significant (P<0.05);The positive rate of PI3K110α, p-AktSer473, β-Catenin and Ki-67 protein in OSC was significantly higher than that in OSBT,OSA and NOT(P<0.01); The relationship between PI3K110α, p-AktSer473, β-Catenin,Ki-67 and OSC invasion with lymph node metastasis was statistically significant (P<0.01);In OSC, there was a positive correlation between the expression of E-Cadherin and PTEN(P<0.05),PI3K110α, p-AktSer473 β-Catenin, and Ki-67 protein (P<0.01), but the expression of E-Cadherin, PTEN was negatively correlated with the protein expression of PI3Kp110α,p-AktSer473 and β-Catenin (P<0.05). These results suggested the mechanism of E-Cadherin/β-Catenin regulating ovarian carcinogenesis through PTEN-PI3K/Akt pathway provides evidence, provides a basis for clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of OST.
